MIMA'SÂ STORY
Mima’s journey as an artist started very young, in Central America where she was born. She began experimenting in the kitchen with the bountiful ingredients available and the visual beauty captivated her. Through the influence of an aunt, a classically trained artist and devoted nun, Mima was exposed to many classic art movements, the art native to her home country.

Now, in her new home in Florida, Mima’s creation of NekisArt resulted from the Global COVID-19 Pandemic in 2020. Through intense curiosity, research, study, experimentation; this passion project has flourished into a curated look into color, textures, food, nature, and how to bring joy into the home and daily life.
